More than a simple bit of wordplay/pulling at the stallions reigns for herd sake/I heard her say, maybe today’s the day/with herbs for aches and pains don’t decay/we all delay until that’s all gone/time is essence and magazines March on/until readership drops the bands baton/and the last sounds heard are the same four songs/of mind numbing banter the lack of candor/the high strumming answer and nascent valor/blissfully ignorant of nations squalor/in tune to ring tones and reality hollers/the horrors of day to day or pay to play/made out to be what conspiracists say/I use Mics like needles who can relate?/in a society of shiny bubbles soon to deflate.
